ZO® 3-step Peel- Moderate Peel

This anti-aging, moderate-depth peel contains a blend of salicylic, lactic, and trichloracetic acid (TCA) with retinol cream, which causes sloughing of the damaged topmost layers of skin. It addresses pigmentation/melasma, PIH, uneven skin texture/tone, enlarged pores, dullness, and acne. This peel requires consult with our team of medical professionals & preparation at home for 4-6 weeks prior to peel.

Benefits

The ZO® 3-Step Peel is a comprehensive and advanced skincare treatment that targets a range of skin concerns, including:

  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles: The peel exfoliates the skin's surface, promoting the generation of new collagen and elastin, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Pigmentation Issues/Melasma: Uneven skin tone, sunspots, and age spots are addressed as the peel gently removes the damaged outer layer of skin, revealing a more even complexion.

  • Acne and Acne Scarring: By exfoliating the skin and unclogging pores, the ZO® 3-Step Peel can improve the appearance of acne and minimize the visibility of acne scars.

  • Texture and Dullness: This treatment reveals fresher, smoother skin by effectively removing dead skin cells, promoting cellular turnover, and improving overall skin texture.

Pre-conditioning your skin with retinol for 4-6 weeks prior to the application of the peel to improve skin health as well as accelerate post-peel healing.

FAQs

  • Light peels contain AHA/BHA, which treats the skin at a superficial level. There is no down time and you can resume your daily routine. Moderate peels contain Trichloroacetic acid and glycolic acid , which are designed to remove a few more skin layers than light peels. Medium peels are usually recommended when additional correction is needed, and the skin won’t respond sufficiently to a superficial peel. There is more down time and preparation for medium peels. If you are interested in learning more about these treatments, contact us or schedule a consult.

  • The skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepped. The solution is applied to the skin and left on for a prescribed amount of time. At that time, a neutralizing agent will be used, and the peel is removed (although some peels are left on). You will be given instructions on what to do to support and sooth the skin during the healing process.

  • The treatment session typically lasts around 30-45 minutes.

  • It's best to avoid makeup for the first few days post-treatment to allow your skin to heal properly. A second step will be performed the next day at home and you will be provided a ZO hydrating cream for hydration/healing.

  • While the results are long-lasting, ongoing maintenance and good skincare practices are essential to sustain the benefits.

  • While frequently performed on the face, they can be used on any many other areas of the body. Common areas can include chest, neck, and back.
